Boarding is possible at dozens of locations around Amsterdam, with a map of piers on the site (embedded, no text); say which one you prefer in the quote request. Fixed piers with no extra sailing cost for Avanti: Amstelveld/Reguliersgracht, H'ART Museum, corner Herengracht/Amstel (Carre), Carre at the Amstelsluizen, Stopera. For Delphine: H'ART Museum, Herengracht/Amstel, Carre at the Amstelsluizen. Other piers can add voor- en terugvaart costs because of one-way traffic. The booked time is when the meter starts. Request form boarding times run 10:00 to 22:00.
Weather and cancelling
General terms (2018 PDF, Dutch): the share of the invoice due on cancellation is 10% more than 8 weeks before, 20% at 8-4 weeks, 33% at 4-2 weeks, 50% at 2-1 weeks, 75% at 7-2 days, 100% within 48 hours; EUR 25 admin fee. Group size may drop by 10% free until 48 hours before. Storm, ice or high water, early darkness and technical failure end a sailing without refund or compensation (force majeure). Minimum sailing time is 1.5 hours (1 hour is charged as 1.5). Card payment on board adds 2.5%; invoice due within 14 days and at the latest 1 working day before. Quotes valid 14 days.
