Boarding points differ per boat (Singel 359 / d'Vijff Vlieghen, Singel 9, Singel 250, City Marina IJdock at Room Mate Aitana, Ruyterkade East, Muziekgebouw, Amstel at the Opera, Ms. van Riemsdijkweg 45 in Amsterdam North). Custom pick-up at a hotel, office or restaurant on request; the site claims 150+ boarding locations. Light Festival ticket cruises: be at Singel 359 (jetty in front of Restaurant Vijff Vlieghen) 5-10 minutes early; several operators use that jetty, so check in with the crew.
Weather and cancelling
Cancellation (terms and conditions, art. 7): less than 2 months before the cruise 15% of the total owed; under 1 month 50%; under 14 days 60%; under 7 days 75%; under 48 hours 100%. Cancellation must be sent in writing by registered notice. Payment within 14 days of invoice unless the confirmation says otherwise; the operator may require advance payment. Weather: boats are covered (all but the open Wan-Hoop) and sail in rain; Light Festival cruises only cancel in exceptional conditions such as KNMI Code Red or frozen canals.
