On the day
You choose where to board and leave and the route and duration. Common choices: Centraal Station (train, metro, tram, park and ride), Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ (24/7 parking garage, 8 minutes on foot from the station) and the Stopera (centre, parking garage); the map on the site shows more. Boarding in Zaandam, Ouderkerk aan de Amstel or elsewhere in the region is possible. Guests can be collected at a hotel and dropped at the RAI or a restaurant.
Weather and cancelling
Terms (2020, Dutch PDF, BOOT10 / Staets): pay in two parts, a deposit within 14 days of the first invoice (amount agreed in advance) and the rest on a second invoice about two weeks before the sailing, due at the latest 5 days before. Cancellation: up to 8 weeks before 50% of the total, up to 4 weeks 75%, within 4 weeks 90%, no-show 100%. Group size may drop by 10% until 14 days before; more than 10% less counts as cancellation. The captain may change or stop the route for bridge or lock closures or weather (fog, ice, wind force); if force majeure stops the event, deposits are returned, with no compensation. Customers outside the Netherlands pay 100% up front.
