One of Amsterdam's last medieval locks, linking the Oosterdok side of the IJ to the Oudezijds Voorburgwal under the Zeedijk. The gates normally stand open, but it is tight: a 4.7 m chamber under a fixed bridge with roughly 2.1 m of headroom, one for low boats only.
